-Write a summary of (a) Peter van Inwagen’s Simulacra model and Dean Zimmerman’s Falling Elevator model of the resurrection, and (b) Aquinas’s account of the resurrection (as contained in my article “St. Thomas on Death, Resurrection, and Personal Identity”).
-Then critically evaluate one or two of these positions. Tell me why you agree or disagree. But be sure to give reasons why you agree or disagree. The summary part of the writing assignment counts 2/3 of your grade; the critical evaluation part counts 1/3 of your grade.
-I find that I can better evaluate a student’s work when it reads like text in a book or an article.
-This is not a research paper. So, no secondary or internet sources should be consulted. I am interested in your own approach to the topic.
-The summary part of the paper should be roughly 600 words: the critical evaluation part roughly 300 words.
