Respond to the following post:
This fact sheet was very interesting to see. I would love to see current reports now after covid burnout and vaccine mandates. The most interesting statistic in this report was the average age of the RN. The average age is 50 and 53% or working nurses are over 50 (American Nurses Association, 2014). This needs to be looked into. We have an aging community of nurses who will need to be replaced when they retire. This report gives nurses from one area of the country an idea what is happening in other parts such as pay. It shows the reader the education goals of the nursing community and demographics of nurses. The male nurse isn’t as much of a rarity as it used to be.

The instruments and tools are how the data was collected. Not necessarily the technique used but the actual machines and devices used to measure the data. The data collected should be measured accurately and consistently (Chamberlain University, 2021). The reliability and validity of the instruments and tools give credit to a well-researched report. One way to collect data that I was not familiar with prior to this lesson was Physiologic measures. I look at results all day long at work and have never considered that the devices used to measure data was a type of data collection. The large machines in the lab collect and measure data and report it out the computer systems. The machines used in imaging are physiologic measures as well.
