Here are my instructors direct instructions:
Papers must be 2-3 pages in length and double-spaced.
Select one of the following artworks (listed below, 10 in total) which are included in the textbook but were not discussed in class. Introduce the artwork, including its basic identification information (artist’s name, title, date, medium, and location). Describe the artwork in a concise and systematic way. Conduct a visual analysis of the artwork, focusing on form, style, subject matter, and technique or medium. Incorporate historical context and outside research judiciously, as it pertains to the appearance of the artwork. Include images (and reference the images in the text) and details of the artwork as appropriate. Images must be placed at the end of the text along with any necessary citations. Be sure to conclude your paper, summarizing the main points.
You could give your own thoughts on the artwork considering you are going to be writing the analysis for it. By form and style and all that I think she means like position of the certain things in the artwork like for example a house in the background or a car in the foreground just terms like background and foreground and the others. The piece of artwork you will be looking at is “Pablo Picasso, Le Demoiselles d’Avignon, 1907, oil on canvas, 8′ x 7’8”, New York, The Museum of Modern Art”. Introduce essay by giving info of what you will be analyzing with basic info of it. If you could manage to do all of what she said in the directions you’re amazing and I really appreciate it.
