Instructions
Within the Assignment Doc are 5 stories from the Gospels with different versions of each story set side by side (by side)
Stories 1–3 contain versions from Matthew, Mark, & Luke
Story 4 contains versions only from Matthew and Luke
Story 5 contains versions from Matthew, Mark, and John
For each story
Using the highlighter tool/shading tool in Microsoft Word/Google Docs, highlight using the following color code (if you do not have access to one of the colors you may highlight using a different color)):
Unique Mark = Red
Unique Matthew = Blue
Unique Luke = Yellow
Mark & Matthew = Purple
Mark & Luke = Orange
Matthew & Luke = Green
Mark, Matthew & Luke = Grey
For Story 5 treat John as Luke for the sake of the assignment
Grading Rubric
The assignment is worth 5 points total (1 point per story)
Each story is graded independently
1 = highlighting that demonstrates thoughtfulness & engagement
0.5 = incomplete highlighting or indiscriminate highlighting
0 = no highlighting present
