Case Study – 30 marks

Company Profile:

Carly Simon & Cass Elliot were senior managers at one of London’s top marketing consultancies, and in May 2021 they launched Blue Sky Experiential Marketing Ltd.

The company sees themselves as some of the brightest minds in the world of experiential marketing and believe that there is a gap in the market for a genuine high quality customer experience. Most of their customers are producers of food or beverages and Blue Sky attend events or gatherings to give out samples directly to engage consumers and encourage them to participate in the brand experience.

In plain language, this means that they set up stalls at festivals, train stations, race meetings, in fact anywhere there are likely to be large crowds and get consumers to try

their customer’s products. An example is they recently set up a stall at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, they recruited 10 agents & gave out samples of the popular Energy drink Red-Pig.

Required:

Carly and Cass expect their recent investment in Sage Business Cloud to enable them to manage their business more effectively. They want an accountant – you – to design a monthly performance package for review every month, using the information entered onto Sage and the reports produced from Sage. They expect actions, insight and recommendations to improve the quality of Sage output which they can use to improve business performance.

Initially they require information on how the company has performed for the period from 1st May 2021 to 31st July 2021.
