There are many reasons why I think the US should use its technological advances to produce more stuff in a given period of time. The first reason is because businesses won’t run out of goods and services. I also think the US should use its technological advantages because this will increase the efficiency and productivity which many businesses can benefit from. Businesses will benefit from using technological advances because they can make more sales of their product through online websites and services. Most importantly, if the product allows employees won’t have to work many long hours because the technology made for the product will help get the product done quickly. Lastly, an example of technology helping workers with the product is, if the product has to be put in a box or wrapped, maybe there can be a machine that do that instead of the worker. That’s some reasons why I think the US should use its technological advances to produce more stuff in a given period of time.
In conclusion, No I don’t think the US should produce the same amount of stuff and use its technological advances to give workers more free time through reduced hours of work. I don’t think this is a good idea because people want to buy many of the same products a day and they won’t be able to do that if workers are making the same amount each day. Most importantly, many business need to keep the product coming and in stock because they will loose money from customers because they will be sold out when a customer wants to the purchase that particular product. Lastly, this will be bad for the economy because they won’t be making enough money for the store or business to stay open if they are sold out of a product every time a customer comes to shop. That’s why I don’t think it will be a good idea for the US to produce the same amount of stuff and use its technological advances to give workers more free time through reduced hours.
