Current event evaluations are designed to help students apply course material to present day issues and
allow them to better understand the democracy they live in. Students are required to write three [3], 4-
6-page
[double spaced and not including bibliography]
Evaluations should 1] provide a summation of the issue being examined,
2] offer an analysis of the issue[s]
presented by incorporating concepts discussed in class to date and present at least 2 different ideological
perspectives on/approaches to the issue[s] [ie, Republican vs Democrat, state vs federal, one
administration vs another], and
3] offer your assessment of/recommendations for potential resolutions
and how you would execute them.
Evaluations should include 1] a bibliography and proper citations and 2] a diverse representation of sources
