As an individual, compile a 4-5 page (double-spaced) summary for 1 of the Harvard Business case from the course package.
Apart from the overall quality of the submitted summaries, I pay attention to a few things before I can give you guys an A from the summary:
Reference to readings with page #s: I want you guys to include specific page #s related to the part you are discussing in the summary. This is again a preparatory exercise to help you get ready analyzing the actual Harvard Business cases.
Examples in the readings: Whenever you discuss the examples mentioned in the reading, it makes your own summary a better one.
Examples from your own: This is where the creativity kicks in! It will be great if you can relate what’s discussed in the readings with examples from other companies that you have seen in news or articles recently.
Your Solution and Recommendation: Did you identify the problem, and did you use the concepts /tools /frameworks to understand the issue and come up with a solution?
