Criteria for Evaluation
Your project will be evaluated based on the following:
- A good title should announce the thesis.
- Begin the paper with an introductory paragraph to state what the paper is about, providingthe reader with a clear understanding of what you are trying to explain.
- Follow clear rhetorical strategies [i.e. argument, definition, comparison/contract, cause/effect, etc.]
- You should finish the paper with a summary of what you have found and what is still unknown about your study.
➢The papershould have transitions between ideas and paragraphs so that the reader can moveeasily from the beginning of a paragraph to the end and from one paragraph to the next.
➢Use subheadings to separate and classify paper sections.
➢Your persona should come across as informed, intelligent, benevolent, and honest.
➢Your argument should show audience awareness.
➢Avoid sexist language.
➢Do you strategically incorporate twenty-five sources?
Avoid dropping quotations in your text, and paraphrasing throughout entire paragraphs with one citation at the end of the paragraph.
➢The paper should be free of spelling, grammar, and typographical errors.
➢Write in a simple manner,using clear, straightforward sentences.
➢Does your paper follow APA formatting style guidelines?
