[This is message from professor to me for context: This week’s reading was on software architecture. I fully realize it was at a summary level, but you still have enough information to do a preliminary architectural assessment of your project via your vision document and the non-functional requirements you have collected so far.]

The evaluation method we will use is the one promoted by the SEI as mentioned in the chapter summary. Go to the SEI website referenced in the chapter notes and read the paragraph titled “How do you know if a software architecture is deficient or at risk relative to its target system qualities?”
There are 3 questions to answer. For each of them, assume I am the individual conducting an evaluation of your system architecture. For each team, answer 3 questions:
Question 1: Imagine you are a Project Manager that is presenting a summary of your system’s business drivers [step 2 of the process]. In this context, business drivers are the reasons why you are doing this project. Then answer the question below:
– Do you think your vision document sufficiently captures why this project is valuable and worth doing? Justify your answer in a paragraph or two. If there are deficiencies, that’s OK. Just summarize them for now.
Questions 2 and 3: Imagine you are the Project Architect that is presenting a summary of your non-functional requirements [step 5 of the process]. Then answer the questions below.
Do you think your non-functional requirements sufficiently captures the quality attributes of your system? Justify your answer in a paragraph or two. If there are missing requirements, that’s OK. Just summarize them for now.
I have just asked you to identify one of your quality attributes and demonstrate that your system meets it or not. Identify the attribute and in a paragraph or two, justify if you could prove your claim or not. If not, that’s OK, just tell me how or why for now.
