1. What are the visual characteristics and styles of each of these sculptures? Be sure to identify them as A, B, and C! Use the specific vocabulary for each one.
If you would like to be eligible for full credit, you must correctly identify at least two characteristics for each sculpture that are specific for the time period. (Things that are NOT specific include: media, technique, location, etc.) Here are some of the vocabulary words that should be in your essay: contrapposto, linear, wet drapery, Classical, peplos, geometric, Hellenistic, s-curve, kore, Archaic, Humanism.
2. In what chronological order were these sculptures made? (i.e. Which was made first, which was made second, and which was made third?) Be sure to identify them as A, B, and C!
3. How do the visual characteristics help you identify the chronological order?
