Student Instruction:
Follow the assignment instructions. You will be writing a profile story about a classmate I interviewed. Attached is an mp3 recording of the interview. I’ve also transcribed the recording into an attached docx file if you prefer to read through. I also attached a small interview with the interviewee’s friend. Please be sure to include some parts of what he says in the story as well. The writing should be in AP Style.
Basic Assignment Instructions:
Write a 600-word story on the most newsworthy aspect of your classmate. Story should have a direct lede that would relate the most interesting that you found out about your classmate.
Along with the classmate interview, you should have an interview with someone else with knowledge about the classmate. That second voice will add some perspective and context to what the classmate is saying. After your classmate interview, ask for the name and contact info of someone with knowledge of the classmate. It could be a relative, a friend, a co-worker, a neighbor.
